Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated: May 1, 2026

1. Purpose

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") defines the rules and guidelines for using the PRISM platform. It supplements our Terms of Service and applies to all users.

2. Permitted Use

PRISM is designed for legitimate software development and delivery workflows. You may use the platform to:

  • Plan, execute, and verify software development projects
  • Orchestrate multi-agent development workflows
  • Generate, review, and commit code to your repositories
  • Monitor execution state and delivery progress
  • Enforce governance policies on your delivery pipelines

3. Prohibited Activities

You may not use the Service to:

  • Generate malicious software, malware, exploits, or tools designed to compromise systems
  • Circumvent or disable any security controls, rate limits, or access restrictions
  • Access, modify, or delete another user's data without authorization
  • Perform denial-of-service attacks or intentionally degrade platform performance
  • Violate any applicable law, regulation, or third-party rights, including intellectual property
  • Scrape, reverse engineer, or extract platform internals beyond documented APIs
  • Use agent execution capabilities to perform actions outside your authorized repositories and systems
  • Generate content that is hateful, discriminatory, or violates human dignity

4. Agent Execution Guidelines

PRISM's agentic execution model provides powerful automation capabilities. You are responsible for:

  • Ensuring agents operate only within repositories and systems you own or have authorized access to
  • Reviewing agent-generated code and commits before merging to production branches
  • Configuring appropriate governance policies for your organization's risk tolerance
  • Monitoring agent activity and reporting unexpected behavior

5. Resource Usage

You agree to use platform resources responsibly within your plan's allocated limits. Execution credits, builder seats, and API calls are metered. Intentional abuse of resource allocations (such as creating excessive accounts to bypass limits) is prohibited.

6. Enforcement

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this policy. For minor violations, we will provide notice and a reasonable opportunity to remediate. For severe violations (security threats, illegal activity), we may take immediate action without notice.

7. Reporting Violations

If you become aware of any violation of this policy, please report it to abuse@prism.dev. Reports are handled confidentially.

8. Changes

We may update this policy as the platform evolves. Material changes will be communicated at least 30 days before they take effect.
